Ulta Beauty Starts Fundraising Push for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Ulta Beauty shoppers across the U.S. will be invited to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) in May through the beauty retailer’s charitable arm supporting nonprofits focused on well-being.

The Ulta Beauty Charitable Foundation announced it has added partner organizations this year including The Jed Foundation, Active Minds, and Girls Inc., and will continue its support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)

The beauty retail giant said it is donating $3 million in 2024 to nonprofits that support well-being for women, teens, and the BIPOC/ LBGTQ+ communities.

Nonprofits receive contributions from Ulta Beauty's 501(c)3 foundation through monetary gifts, in-kind donations, and/ or in-store fundraising proceeds. The national campaign for BBBS runs for a month in Ulta Beauty stores starting in mid-May.

The retailer's charitable foundation includes a fund to assist Ulta Beauty employees in crisis due to events such as domestic violence, illness, injury, or natural disasters.

“More than 91 percent of our associates and the majority of our guests are women,” says UIta Beauty executive Jodi Caro. “We’re also seeing teens engaging with beauty early on.

“We have the power to help shape how young people experience beauty,” she says, “and a responsibility to ensure women and teens have access to the resources and support they need to nurture their holistic well-being inside and out.”
